Answer

Find out your current ICAO English level

Aviation English Asia offer the ICAO Aviation English Online course at four skill levels:

    * Basic Level Course - ICAO Level 2 Lower
    * Beginner Level Course - ICAO Level 2 Upper
    * High Beginner Level Course - ICAO Level 3 Lower
    * Intermediate Level Course - ICAO Level 3 Upper

Before starting a course it is very important to find your correct starting level - this will avoid starting a course that is too easy or too difficult.  As you can see from the information above, on our course, ICAO levels 2 and 3 are divided into upper and lower levels.

So for example, if you have already been given a rating of ICAO level 3 you need to find out exactly  where you really are on the ICAO scale.  It's important to realise that students at ICAO level 3 are not always of the same ability - you could be either 2 weeks or 12 weeks away from achieving ICAO Level 4.

To find out your ICAO level we recommend you take the English Placement Test.  This test costs $125 USD and is one of the best possible investments that you will make in your aviation career.

The English Placement Test includes a 60 minute online test and a 10 minute telephone test.  The test will provide accurate information about your current level.  After finding out your current level you can then purchase the required levels needed in order to reach ICAO level 4.
