ICAO Aviation English Pronunciation Supplementary Class for Pilots and ATCs (Sunday) HKG
Aviation English Asia has developed a unique Learning Method that can quickly and easily help you pronounce words more clearly.
ICAO Aviation English Pronunciation Supplementary Class are informal 2 hour remedial classes focused on fixing problems that learners have with pronunciation. Supplementary Classes are student-centred and will provide an opportunity for learners to improve their English communication skills in an aviation context. These classes are not lectures - they are practical and interactive classes supervised by an expert teacher who has been certified to teach Aviation English by the Aviation English Organisation.
On this 2-hour Supplementary Class you can do a wide range of practical exercises that will help you improve your pronunciation, and learn some effective strategies for self study to build on the classroom exercises
The Supplementary Class will cover specific pronunciation difficulties that learners in Hong Kong (typically Cantonese speakers, but Aviation English Asia often has students from other countries) have when communicating in English, such as basic phonemes (minimal pairs such as /p/ and /b/ eg, 'lap' and 'lab'), vowel sounds and past tenses.
Students who can master basic sounds can also practice more advanced elements of English pronunciation that are assessed in the ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements such as rhythm, intonation, stress (word stress and sentence stress), and build an awareness of connected speech.
This workshop will be conducted by a Professional Aviation English Teacher with years of experience training pilots, mechanics and controllers.
