The ICAO Aviation English Online course is a proven solution for improving your English proficiency. It is exactly the same course as used by major airlines and flight training schools. We recommend this course as the core of any Aviation English training programme.
The ICAO Aviation English Online course is available at four English proficiency levels.
Each skill level course consists of 12 lessons. Each lesson takes approximately 8-10 hours to complete so you can expect approximately 100 hours of English training per level.
In order to find out which course you need first, take the Aviation English Placement Test. This is a 60 minute online test and optional 10 minute oral test conducted by telephone. After taking the Aviation English Placement Test you will receive a recommended starting level.
The course is based on important topics needed for an aviation career. They include:
You can listen and read interesting articles accompanied by audio recordings of native English speakers, and also practice your understanding of these subjects in tests and quizzes. You can even practice ATC to pilot communication based on real ATC tapes from ICAO and FAA based towers.

Please see our FAQ for further details about the course.
Demonstration units are available for each of the four levels. To request a demo please complete the Course Enquiry form opposite
If you want to improve your English performance faster, then consider taking additional classroom based lessons that supplement each unit. These are available with partner flight schools worldwide.
